Specialist Musculoskeletal Assessment & Injection Therapy
The Clinic of Musculoskeletal Medicine and Injection Therapy was founded by Jessica Hill to provide specialist assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions in a dedicated, well established, professional clinical setting.
The clinic is led by a highly experienced First Contact Practitioner (FCP), Physiotherapist, Independent Prescriber, and Musculoskeletal Injection Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience. After graduating with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy in 2011, I have spent the past 13 years specialising exclusively in musculoskeletal practice across both NHS and private healthcare services.
Throughout my career, I have developed extensive expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine, joints, muscles, tendons, and soft tissues. As a First Contact Practitioner within General Practice, I regularly assess patients presenting with complex musculoskeletal problems and work closely with GPs, consultants, radiology services, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive timely and effective care.
In 2022, I qualified as an Independent Prescriber through the Advancing Non-Medical Prescribing programme, enabling me to prescribe appropriate medications as part of a comprehensive treatment approach. In 2023, I completed formal training in Musculoskeletal Injection Therapy and have since incorporated injection treatments into daily clinical practice.
The clinic offers landmark-guided musculoskeletal injections, including corticosteroid injections and hyaluronic acid (Ostenil®) injections, for suitable joint and soft tissue conditions. All patients undergo a detailed assessment to determine whether injection therapy is appropriate and to ensure treatment decisions are based on current clinical evidence and individual patient circumstances.
All treatment recommendations are made within the context of a comprehensive management plan. In addition to injection therapy, patients may be provided with tailored rehabilitation programmes, exercise prescription, and evidence-based self-management advice to support recovery, improve function, and promote long-term musculoskeletal health.
While ultrasound imaging can be a valuable diagnostic and treatment aid in certain situations, the clinic specialises in clinical assessment and landmark-guided injection techniques and does not provide ultrasound-guided injections.
